OUR NEW WEBSITE : 1/6/2013
Welcome to our new website launched June 2013, here you will find a list of the services we provide and a few imagines of parts processed at this plant. I hope it will also give you a feel for the company ethos and the people behind P.W.
THERMO FISHER PREFFERED SUPPLIER STATUS: May 2013
PW are delighted to have been award 'preffered' supplier status for Thermo Fisher Scientific. A company employing over 39,000 and with a turnover in excess of $13 billion dollars a year. This approval refers to all anodised components Thermo currently sub-contract.
PLANT UPGRADE : 15/6/2015
PW have upgraded our barrel plating capabilities. 5 new process rigs and barrells plus new anode cages, will have a significant effect on the quality and turnaround time of high volume parts.
Acid Zinc Electoplating: A sacrifical coating to protect the base material, zinc decomposes slower than ferrous substrates extending the life of your product. Both the thickness of the zinc coating and the top coats applied can be altered to add further protection.
Electrostaic Powder coating: Powder coating is the process of coating a surface in which a powdered material is applied using an electrostaic or compressed air method. The applied powder is then heated 'cured' to its melting point, after which it flows to form a smooth film which dries to a firm, durable finish, resistent to scratch, cracking, peeling and UV rays.
Decorative Anodising/Colour anodising: Sulphric acid anodising is the most common protective treatment for aluminium and leaves a clear, silver coloured finish which before sealing is receptive to dyes. The anodising process requires oxsidation of the aluminium surface under controlled conditions to form a thin layer of aluminium oxside.
Chromate Conversions: General used as a pretreatment before painting, chromate conversion are non electrolytically applied to form a uniform corrosion resistent coating for aluminum.
